Dating For Dummies

This weekend, a friend of mine stopped by with a little gift. When she saw me, she said, "I have something for you, but you have to promise me you won't get offended." It was a book, entitled "Dating for Dummies." Just for the record, I am offended. The story behind the book was quite interesting. Given to my friends brother as a Christmas gift, he read it and found his now-wife within six months. He then gave it to my friend, who met her boyfriend within a couple weeks. . And now she has passed this magical dating book on to me. So i thought it might be interesting to conduct a little experiment. I will read the book, do every dumb(i was about to use the word gay, but i realized i didn't want to do any gay thing it says to do. . )thing it suggests and see if i too, can be a winner. And. . . just so you know, I am not a dating dummy. Here's just a little taste: Chapter 1:The Focus: Who I Am. "What you already know is fine and comfortable and perhaps even useful, but if you spend your whole life with the familiar, you're going to miss out on a lot of potential happiness. I'm talking about blasting off and going bravely where you haven't been before. Okay, okay, i can hear you now, 'Blast off is scary. What if I get blown up on the lauch pad or end up where there's no oxygen?'(by the way, that was my exact thought when reading that part. . . ) Go for it. Lose your fear and focus on your curiosity and strength." Well, thank you Dr. Joy, I'm going to do just that.
