My Favorite Holiday
I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!! It drives everybody crazy, i know, but i can't help it! I get more excited on Christmas Eve than my 10 year old little brother does, to the point where i make myself sick i get so excited. I can say for myself however that i postpone everything til the week of Thanksgiving. I made a new playlist with my favorite Christmas music, so i hope you enjoy! Anyways, I bought my own tree this year, its skinnier, so it can fit in my room, but it's six feet tall and beautiful and i LOVE it! I have it right by my bed so i can look at the lights when i go to sleep. I make my dad tuck me in every night and serve me a cup of warm milk while he reads me stories of christmases long long ago. It is very comfortable when you combine the story and milk with my footsie pajamas and hopes the Saint Nick will soon be here. . .ok, most of that is made up. The part about the tree anyways.

Bird
On this past Sunday, i was relaxing in my living room before going to church, the window curtains spread open to see the not so sunny weather, when all of a sudden i watched a grown bird fly right into the window. I blinked and saw a couple brown feathers in mid air float towards the ground. Not sure i had seen what i had, I looked down to find a ruffle feathered bird nestled on the ground. Worried, i watched the bird until i saw him move his head around making sure he was not hurt, for i was ready and prepared to give him mouth to mouth. Being a dental assistant, we must be prepared to give CPR to anyone, or anything. I looked up in the tree at the nest he lived in and saw his little family. Three baby birds, and a mother, just sitting in the nest, right next to our window. How embarrassed that father bird must have felt to run into a closed window in front of his children. I believe his pride was hurt more than his head that day, trying so very hard to be a valiant role model for his children. He sat on the ground for the rest of the afternoon, and finally flew away, most likely to see a psychiatrist for severe depression and embarrassment issues. For anyone who sees this, i would like to ask a moment of silence for this bird. Thank you.

Murder Mystery
So my friend hosted a Murder Mystery dinner night last weekend, with a hippie theme. It was probably one of the best parties i've ever been too! In your invitation, is a description of your character, what you should wear, how you should act, stuff like that, and then you play your character, and read clues to try to figure out who murdered "Hedda Leice." My character was Nate Ashby (yes, a man) and when i was done dressing up for the part, i was convinced i was actually a hippie man, and i don't really recall the rest of that night. . .all i have are these pictures. . .

that is a REAL cigar! Actually its just chocolate!

Halloween Fun
Today i went to Body Worlds, the exhibition downtown of the human body. That being as cool as it is, its not what i would like to share with you today. As we were walking, a homeless man stopped me on the street and asked me if i was italian. Now, i know this is an easy mistake to make, i mean look at the similarities:

Dating For Dummies
This weekend, a friend of mine stopped by with a little gift. When she saw me, she said, "I have something for you, but you have to promise me you won't get offended." It was a book, entitled "Dating for Dummies." Just for the record, I am offended. The story behind the book was quite interesting. Given to my friends brother as a Christmas gift, he read it and found his now-wife within six months. He then gave it to my friend, who met her boyfriend within a couple weeks. . And now she has passed this magical dating book on to me. So i thought it might be interesting to conduct a little experiment. I will read the book, do every dumb(i was about to use the word gay, but i realized i didn't want to do any gay thing it says to do. . )thing it suggests and see if i too, can be a winner. And. . . just so you know, I am not a dating dummy. Here's just a little taste: Chapter 1:The Focus: Who I Am. "What you already know is fine and comfortable and perhaps even useful, but if you spend your whole life with the familiar, you're going to miss out on a lot of potential happiness. I'm talking about blasting off and going bravely where you haven't been before. Okay, okay, i can hear you now, 'Blast off is scary. What if I get blown up on the lauch pad or end up where there's no oxygen?'(by the way, that was my exact thought when reading that part. . . ) Go for it. Lose your fear and focus on your curiosity and strength." Well, thank you Dr. Joy, I'm going to do just that.

Homeless Man
Today was an important day in the history of my life. Shari just got accepted into the military, and i was accepted into the Strawberry Shortcake Fans of delicious fluffy white cake, with ooey gooey strawberries. Or for short: SSFODFWCWOGS. Say that five times fast. Or. . . just once really slow. Talk about a party.

The Office

So, i guess you could say i'm a little obsessed with the t.v. show "The Office." The season premiere is September 25, and i've only been counting down the days all summer! I found some pictures online of the premiere, It's called 'Weight Loss,' and supposedly they're having a weight loss contest between the Dunder Mifflin branches, and Pam is in New York for art school! I really love the H.R. rep that replaced Toby, and i really REALLY hope something happens between her and Michael! They are perfect! I really hate Jan. I'm about to release some spoilers, so stop reading if you don't want to know. . . nothing too big is given away. There are two weddings being planned, one involving Andy, and Jim and Pam aren't one of them. It doesn't say who, else, but i'm thinking Daryl and Kelly. . .maybe Jan and Michael? But i don't think so. Next, someone who we thought left the show for good in a previous season returns. . .they said it wasn't who we might be thinking, which my first thoughts were Karen or Roy. But now i'm thinking its Carol! Oh man. The suspense is killing me. Well, I just had to let my vibrant thoughts flow freely through my hands to my keyboard onto my blog. In closing, i would just like to say: "If you are a racist, i will attack you with the north."

Best Buddies

Our office had the opportunity to host the "Best Buddies" foundation here in West Jordan. Basically we hire the gifted/special needs people in the community to help them learn the basics of business and working as a team player in a normal environment. This here is a picture of Brent, one of our more "gifted" employees. He is a very important assest to our team, feeding the fish, watering the plants, eating our goldfish, and coloring pictures for our patients.
Swiss Days

I recently had the opportunity to attend swiss days with my friend Shari, the only one that ever looks at this blog. Here is a picture of us enjoying some scones with our swiss friends. It was pretty fun. Minus the tights and suspendors. And the people are pretty good looking.

Yellowstone
My family just took a trip to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. We had heard recently about all the wildlife expected in the park, and were excited when we saw several buffalo. One of them came particularly close to our family, and it almost seemed as if he was trying to communicate with us, and even after all the years studying Buffalo, i couldn't make out the message he was trying to portray. He also seemed to have been around a number of tourists before, which is why he's sporting the red hat in my pictures. We made peace with him, gave him our address, and left with his memory in our hearts. Needless to say, we realized our mistake, and went back to retrieve my brother.
